LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER
A good place to meet starts with respect.
Winkora is for adults aged 18 and older. Age and gender are self-reported. The age gate is not identity verification.
Sharing a conversation
Every participant must approve the exact selected messages, attachments, visibility settings and duration. Obtain permission from anyone shown in attachments; do not share intimate content without their consent. Hidden names do not anonymize images, voices or text. Any participant can withdraw a post. Removal cannot recall screenshots or copies. Use Report for unwanted, underage, exploitative or nonconsensual content.
Community rules
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, impersonation or persistent unwanted contact.
- Consensual adult sexual content is allowed only in private conversations. Get everyone’s explicit consent before sending sexual messages or media; joining a chat is not consent. Stop immediately when asked. No sexual content in the public lobby, nicknames, or public profiles. No minors, exploitation, coercion, nonconsensual intimate imagery, or illegal material.
- Ask before sharing pictures or videos. Only share media you have permission to distribute.
- Keep conversations on Winkora. No external links, email addresses, phone numbers, social handles, QR codes, or invitations to other apps. This includes nicknames, public profiles, messages, pictures and videos.
- No spam, repeated messages, scams, requests for passwords or payment information, or promotional flooding.
- Keep personal details private. Do not post someone else’s identifying information.
You control the conversation
Use the flag beside a message to send a report for moderator review. Block hides a participant’s messages and prevents random matching with that session. You can end a conversation immediately. Random chat skips have increasing waits of 3 seconds, then 7 seconds, capped at 10 seconds, enforced by the server.
Inviting another person
There are no public groups. A private chat can have up to three people. Both current participants must agree before sharing a one-use invitation code, which expires after five minutes. Anyone with the approved code can use it, so share it only with the intended person. Joining starts a new conversation without earlier messages or media. Everyone must be online. Leaving ends that conversation for everyone.
Friends
Add a friend from your current private conversation. The other person must accept. Friends can invite each other to a new chat when both are online and available; no one is connected without accepting. Remove a friend at any time. Blocking also removes the friendship and pending invitations. Guest friendships last only within the current browser session; email recovery and subscriptions are not yet available.
Profiles
You can write up to five interests and a 300-character bio, and add an optional JPG, PNG or WebP portrait up to 5 MB. Keep profiles nonsexual and free of contact details. Portraits require moderator approval and are visible only to your current private-chat partners. You can edit your profile or remove your portrait at any time.
Pictures and videos
Private conversations support JPG, PNG, WebP, MP4 and WebM, up to 20 MB per file. Attachments from others are hidden until you open them. The public lobby is text-only. Private-chat attachments are delivered immediately without advance moderator review. Use Report for unwanted or unsafe content and Block to stop seeing the sender. Reports are reviewed when a moderator is available, not around the clock. Profile portraits still require approval. Never open content you are uncomfortable receiving.
Automatic restrictions and review
Text filters block recognizable contact details and off-site invitations. Repeated messages and rapid sends are restricted. Three blocked contact or spam attempts within an hour pause the session for review. Certain first-person underage disclosures pause it immediately. These checks are imperfect and do not verify age or detect every bot. A paused participant can request a review once per day or delete their session. Moderators can restore access after reviewing a mistake; restoration does not certify age.
Know the limits
Chats are not end-to-end encrypted. The owner can review any stored chat, including unreported messages and attachments, without joining it. Moderators can view all uploaded pictures and videos for live or later review, review reports, remove files and suspend sessions. A nickname does not guarantee anonymity, and other people may save copies of what you send. Reports are reviewed when a moderator is available; this is not an emergency service.
